A film fest like no other: One of the world’s “coolest” film festivals, according to MovieMaker Magazine, is the traveling Disposable Film Festival. See short films or videos produced using nonprofessional cameras and done on the cheap through Dec. 30 at the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art in Virginia Beach.

From the promoter:
The Disposable Film Festival was created in 2007 to celebrate the democratization of cinema made possible by low cost video technology. The festival promotes experimentation and

helps build the track record needed for a new generation of filmmakers to enter and change the industry. MOCA will be showing the Disposable Film Festival in our auditorium during normal operating hours.

Location: Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art
2200 Parks Ave.
Virginia Beach, VA 23451

Price: $5-$7
